About

About photosoup:
I was working as a newspaper photographer in early 2007, and I wanted an outlet for the images that didn’t get published. I started photosoup as a way to show them, and it quickly became the most popular page on my website. I don’t work for newspapers anymore, but I still love sharing my photos with people.

About me:
I fell in love with photography while working as a reporter for a small daily newspaper in South Georgia. I later became a full-time photographer and worked for a couple more papers before leaving the industry in 2007. I’m now finishing my degree in Communications and Media Studies at Clayton State University, and working as an assistant/lighting technician with Sports Illustrated, as well as other photographers. I also photograph weddings and portraits, as well as editorial assignments.

I love teaching people about photography, especially digital photography, so I started a beginner’s digital photography class through the University of Georgia Griffin Campus’ Continuing Education Department. So if you have any questions about photography, send me an email (kdliles[at]gmail.com) and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
