This beautiful sunset happened Sunday night. Just as it stopped raining, the sun came through the clouds and just turned everything orange. I knew I only had a couple of minutes to capture it, so I went to where I knew a puddle would be — right in front of my studio. Speaking of which, should be ready to go in a couple of days (fingers crossed!).

Steam and a perfect sunrise made for a pretty cool picture Saturday morning just outside Griffin.

Memphis’ infamous Beale Street was pretty empty about midnight Wednesday, but the sounds that have made it famous — howling blues choruses and drunken yells — were bouncing off the brick-lined street as much as the neon that adorns it.

I’ve been meaning to post an image or two, but I just haven’t shot anything lately that I’ve been crazy about. I shot this Tuesday afternoon after we finally got some rain around here. I still think this image could’ve been better, but considering the positive feedback I got after it ran in the paper, I figured I would share it. Oh yeah, that’s the top of the Spalding County courthouse reflected in the raindrops. Let me know what you think.
I didn’t mean for this to be a Juan Pablo Montoya post, it just so happens that my two favorite images from Sunday are him and his tires. I really do like this guy though, and he’s definitely an emerging NASCAR superstar. The media loves him.
